Harold E. Singletary
 
Harold E. Singletary graduated from Livingstone College with a Bachelor of  Science in Accounting. Mr. Singletary is a US Army Veteran and grew up in the low country. He has held various positions such as owner, partner and president of companies, CFO, Controller, Senior Accountant and Finance Manager. Harold has an extensive financial background in various fields to include: construction, banking, manufacturing, health care, retail, restaurant and tax preparation.  He started his own tax business in 1999 and has prepared various types of tax returns that include individual, corporate, small and large business, LLC’s and Partnerships. He partnered with Jim Hudson and Joe Maggetti in 2010 to form East Cooper tax LLP located on Daniel Island; a group of highly creative, self-motivated professionals with business development, account management, manufacturing and corporate accounting experience.  Mr. Singletary has excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills and is adept at working under pressure and solving complex problems while being proactive and decisive.

Karen A. Chandler, Ph.D.

Dr. Karen Chandler is an Associate Professor in Arts Management,  School of the Arts at the College of Charleston.  She is the co-founder/principal of the Charleston Jazz Initiative, also based at the College of Charleston.  Dr. Chandler received her Ph.D. in Studies in Arts and Humanities from New York University, M.A. in music  education from Columbia University-Teachers College in New York, and B.S. in music education from Hampton University. Dr. Chandler has numerous publications in leading arts management journals including The Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society.   She has also appeared in the 2011 documentary, "Charleston Jazz," a program of The Big Picture (South Carolina Educational Television) and the South Carolina Arts Commission's "Forty Lists Project" - a compilation of those who have contributed to the development of the arts in South Carolina.
